Our resident bald eagle...

Everyone at Surfside RV Resort can see when the bald eagle has landed in its favorite perching tree. Yesterday I sped out to capture its image for the first time.

Sometimes there are two eagles that land here at the same time.

Here is the majestic bird up close.

What a treat to see these birds up so close.
The pleasures of living in a wildlife management area!

What animal amazes you everytime you see one in its native habitat?

    1. I loved watching the lizards when we lived in Tucson! Loved watching Gingee chase them too.

  2. The Dolphins with their grace come second to the Bald Eagle. Both are so neat!

  3. Doesn't the eagle know it is the symbol of the United States? What is it doing in Canada!!! ;c)

    PS: Great picture. :c)

    1. Yes, John reminded me to call it a Bald Eagle, not an American Eagle!

  4. I think the Eagle is Magnificent, and I think I'd rather see one in the wild than a bear. Love the pictures.

  6. A moose and a pika. The moose because I rarely see one, and the pika because it's so cute and makes an interesting noise.

Of course eagles and great herons are also magnificent.

    Thanks for asking.

  8. Wow, Beautiful shot Levonne. I've only ever seen an eagle once, in the highlands of Scotland, years ago. My favourites here at home are the deer, in the woods when I'm walking my dog. Always in pairs, stopping to stare from a safe distance to size up me and my Beagle!

    1. I love seeing the deer too Gringo even if they are so plentiful here that they're often talked about as nuisances.
