My best friend and I made a pact years ago that we wouldn't color our hair and, at age 54, we have happily kept that vow.

I recommend this book:http://www.amazon.com/Going-Gray-Motherhood-Authenticity-Everything/dp/0316166618/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1338058539&sr=1-1

"Going Gray" by Anna Kreamer. It's the account of her decision (like you) to let the gray grow. The book speaks to self-image and self-respect. I think you'll like it.Kimbopolohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05702789278570839179noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6731864442955869016.post-62643837254526717902012-05-02T08:29:09.288-07:002012-05-02T08:29:09.288-07:00I think with the new adventures ahead, you will on...I think with the new adventures ahead, you will once again start taking care of yourselves. It's amazing how quickly we can resort to not taking care of ourselves & really don't even notice it. Or we sometimes do notice, but tomorrow we'll....yea, like that. ;-)TexCynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05174615550131393975noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6731864442955869016.post-63052459712715932612012-04-28T10:00:51.554-07:002012-04-28T10:00:51.554-07:00May your lemonade be sweet.May your lemonade be sweet.Merikayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05378095339747943548noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6731864442955869016.post-18388692570456723912012-04-28T07:39:08.355-07:002012-04-28T07:39:08.355-07:00I agree with June, I'm following your adventur...I agree with June, I'm following your adventure because your lifestyle traveling around in the Jazz in California is something I would love to do some day...I admire how you have tried and been successful at meeting all of the challenges of living on the road...your hair looks very pretty I stopped coloring my hair about 18 months ago to let the gray grow in but left my hair long in the process....it's been "interesting" but finally it's over, so now I'm part gray and the rest is my natural color....I love not having to go to the hairdresser every few weeks to keep up with the gray but lots of people think I should start coloring it ASAP and others, usually younger women who've stopped me when I've been out shopping, tell me that they love that I don't color my hair at my age....so I guess what ever I decide to do is ok ....Enjoy the rest of you trip to CanadaHelenehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01825539906662169268noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6731864442955869016.post-21079956207605639672012-04-28T06:00:03.170-07:002012-04-28T06:00:03.170-07:00Your hair coming along nicely. And "growing" with new experiences [not to be confused with weight gain :-)) ] is an essential ingredient too.Erinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08333995679958103393noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6731864442955869016.post-44356451497017274482012-04-27T19:48:02.009-07:002012-04-27T19:48:02.009-07:00Well! At the risk of being beat about the back and shoulders and being shunned; (I like colored and long hair on the Ladies!) That being said, and probably regretted, in my defense I know from my heart that hair (I have very little and whats left is gray) has very little meaning other than to present yourself to other people. As long as a person is comfortable and likes their projection and it gives them confidence, the choice is theirs and theirs alone! Levonne my friend, I applaud your choice! You project Beauty from in and out!parkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17201281917735686135noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6731864442955869016.post-69141593409243525772012-04-27T18:21:15.184-07:002012-04-27T18:21:15.184-07:00Sounds like everything is coming together, includi...Sounds like everything is coming together, including the new hairstyle. This week, I am working and my new, temporary job in Mesa Verde National Park. I am happy to say that I like the job and the work I am doing, I feel comfortable in the office and my co-workers are all nice. I hope it stays like this throughout the entire busy season that is coming up.Terihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01019364333876469130noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6731864442955869016.post-78009845998879603522012-04-27T14:43:48.771-07:002012-04-27T14:43:48.771-07:00I say you have your priorities straight. I think I am living vicariously through you two. The nomadic lifestyle has always called to me.
I hope that in your winter wanderings you will be able to come to Mexico to stay with us for awhile! What fun!
BTW, I also love the gray!Junehttp://june-elena.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.com
